Minnesota Reading Corps and Math Corps
Placing tutors in Minnesota schools to help ensure that children statewide are on track to read by the end of third grade, and proficient in math by the end of eighth grade.

In response to the educational crisis facing Minnesota schools, Minnesota Reading Corps and Minnesota Math Corps will place 900 tutors next school year in schools across the state. Our tutors impact the academic performance of thousands of students every year. Become a tutor. Minnesota Reading Corps is a statewide initiative to help every Minnesota child become a successful reader by the end of 3rd grade.

Minnesota Math Corps is a program that provides tutoring to 4th through 8th graders who are struggling with math.

About ServeMinnesota Action Network

The ServeMinnesota Action Network is a collaborative effort to help Minnesotan children who are struggling in reading or math excel academically. Partnering with local schools and school districts, we place and train AmeriCorps members to implement research-based math and reading strategies for students from Pre-K to 8th grade. Our two programs, Minnesota Reading Corps and Minnesota Math Corps, work to ensure that Minnesota children are on track to read by the end of third grade and are algebra-ready by eighth. About 700 members are currently serving statewide, working closely with students to provide essential one-on-one and small-group tutoring to help them become successful in school and in life. The ServeMinnesota Action Network is formerly known as the Minnesota Education Corps.
